Coach Red Berry
Baseball Coach and Mentor
Robert “Red” Berry has been “Coach” to hundreds of baseball players in South Florida since 1962. Starting with the University of Miami and including Coral Park High School; Head coach at Biscayne College (St. Thomas University) and over three decades as Assistant Coach at the University of Miami under Ron Fraser. He also served in professional baseball as a Scout for the Cleveland Indians and General Manager in the Phillies Organization. And that’s just a quick summation of his long career in Baseball.
In Miami from1965 to 2012 Red Berry taught, coached, trained, and inspired hundreds of youngsters to play baseball at all levels, as the owner of Red Berry’s Baseball Camp.
On February 6, 1992, “Red Berry Day” was designated by the Florida Legislature in Tallahassee.
