West Dade Luncheon

Jose J. Casas migrated to the United States from Cuba and subsequently settled in Southern California where he worked as a mechanical designer for an oil-nuclear pump company where he later became the engineer department manager for a period of eight years. Jose then founded a home development company which built numerous homes and apartment buildings in the area. In time, he left the west coast and settled in Miami where he opened the Las Casas Gardens, a plant nursery which he operated for 28 years until his recent retirement. 

In conjunction with his business, he has likewise served the Lord’s church as a pastor during the past 20 years and a this time is on staff at Calvary Chapel Miami as an Associate Pastor. He a living example of a marketplace ambassador who has been successful in connecting business and faith. He is happily married to Belkis with whom he enjoys a son and a daughter.
